Lately, I have been wondering if I would like to start traveling around the world. I do believe it would be a great experience and I would learn many different things. There is so much to see and every culture is so different from what I am used to. I have only been to a handful of places, Texas, Colorado, Missouri, and Florida. Now that I am older, I think it would be a great experience to travel some. The only problem is that I hate going places far without my mom. Yes, I am defiantly a momma’s girl. That is probably because she has always been there for me and that I was the first born. There are some places I would like to visit.
In the United States I would love to go to New York City. I believe that this city is very diverse, and has an enormous amount of art work that would be awesome to see. This would be a place that would be more of a fun, party trip than a sightseeing trip. I am sure I will still view many places, but at night there is great energy. However, I will defiantly wait till I am 21, because I would not be able to get the full experience that I want to get right now being 19. Also I have always wanted to go to Times Square and the Empire State Building!
Another place I want to travel to is Italy. More specifically, Rome! Rome has some meaning to me because I am Catholic and I would just love to be that much closer to where the Pope is and maybe get the opportunity to see him. That would be amazing! Also, all the old churches I am sure they are all beautiful. There is just so much in Rome that can be seen, I want to see the fountains, and especially the antiques! And, again, I will wait until I am 21 so I can live the full experience. Just to top this trip off I am sure I will eat a ton! I love Italian food, so I should be in heaven while I am there; hopefully I will not gain too much weight…haa!
Switzerland is also another place that is calling me. I think this place would have most beautiful scenic views there is. This is where the Swiss Alps are located at and just looking up at them would most likely take my breath away. I am not too sure where I would like to go in Switzerland, but I am sure anywhere really would be a sight to see! This place also, would have a most different culture than what I am used too. I think it would be great to meet someone there and become close to him or her and learn some of their ways.
No matter where I decide to go, I first have to make some money, but for now, it is fun to just daydream about!
I love traveling! I have just been all over the United States and all throughout Mexico though. I would LOVE to go outside the states besides Mexico. It would be a blast to go to Rome and Switzerland. I would encourage you to head on with your dreams! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI've never been overseas, but it is defanitely wild to think about. I actually have some family that lives in England. My grandmother goes over to visit my aunt and uncle and cousins over there every once in a while. She always brings back pictures or my cousin will mail me pictures. Sometimes my aunt and uncle will come to America to visit us and bring things from over there like chocolates, deck of cards, and more pictures. The pictures they give us are beautiful! It's so beautiful over there. I sometimes wonder what it would be like just to spend a week with my English family. It would be exciting. Where ever you decide to travel to, I hope you have fun and take lots of pictures! Keep saving! You'll get there someday!
ReplyDeleteIf you every have the opportunity to go to Rome you should, I've been there and it's beautiful. While we were there we went to the Vatican, which is actually in the Vatican City. Saint Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican museum are amazing. We have some of the most beautiful pictures from our trip. My family and I loved it so much; we’re planning on going back in two years! I really hope you have the opportunity to go to Rome; I am Catholic also and definitely think every Catholic should visit this amazing place at least once!
ReplyDeleteJessica, I think your fascination for traveling is something that can easily be done. I have had my share of traveling and have had many awesome experiences. I cannot begin to think who I would be if I had not traveled. I lived in Eastern Europe for about 5 years, and got to experience a lot. I have been to Italy, Scotland, Britain, Ireland, Austria, Greece, Macedonia, and Mexico. I strongly suggest that you travel when you can, and remember age is not important in most foreign countries.
ReplyDeleteThese places sound like a lot of fun. I love traveling as well. I have been all over the United States and to the Carribean. Out of all the places I have been, Key West was probably one of my favorites. I would love to go to Brazil sometime soon; this place is very special to our family having been an important part of our lives for 12 years. Going for the World Cup in 2014 would be amazing; I would love to experience this country host the biggest event in their number one sport.
